We were a bowling family, at least my brothers and my Dad. My brother, Pete, and I received the Eldin Bowl-a-Matic and were thrilled. What made this toy so great was the pin spotter and sweep mechanism, and ball return.
We played this nonstop after Santa delivered it. Unfortunately, being made of plastic, it wasn’t long before the ends of 2 of the lifting arms broke off. The game could still be played, but we had to manually operate the spotter and sweep mechanism.
I don’t remember what happened to it. We must have thrown it out in the trash at some point.
But while it worked, it was a great toy. My Brother and I still talk about it from time to time.
