This past Saturday, the 13th, we made our annual pilgrimage to see Lights before Christmas at the Toledo Zoo. We went with Dave, Emily, and the 3 GKs, Brayden, Zoey and Cohen. Unfortunately, Mike, Rhonda, and MJ did not join us.
This is an absolute gem for the city of Toledo. I believe there are over a million lights each year. The ultimate site is the huge pine tree with thousands of lights. A few years ago, they switched them to programmable LEDs, so now we have a show too. Just beautiful.
It was a single-digit temperature night, so hot chocolate was a must. Several stops at some of the inside displays allowed us to warm up.
We then enjoyed dinner at The Beer Barrel Pizza and Grill restaurant. They have a big menu, so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
